Oakbrook Properties acquired 216 wooded and waterfront lots in Conroe, Texas, in close proximity to the picturesque 21,000-acre Lake Conroe. Located just one hour north of Houston, the clean fresh water Lake Conroe boasts a large variety of recreation, including boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, swimming and water skiing. Oakbrook Properties envisioned a community of homes perfect for work and leisure activities, with lots overlooking scenic forest and water views.
Lake Conroe Development was successfully sold in 2015.
Strategically located near The Woodlands, the new ExxonMobil North American Headquarters and I-45 just north of Houston, Texas, Siena Vista is an affordable community of 84 single family lots. Originally acquired by Oakbrook Properties which did the development work, Mason Vincent Homes completed the build-out.
The Siena Vista development was successfully completed in 2014.
The Lakes of Magnolia Commercial Development is located on a 6-acre parcel in front of the Lakes of Magnolia neighborhood in Magnolia, Texas, just 40 minutes northwest of downtown Houston on the major road FM 1774. Formerly a sleepy sawmill town, Magnolia now retains a friendly small-town atmosphere, but with nearby access to the thriving communities of Conroe and The Woodlands, and a short drive to ExxonMobil’s new North American headquarters. Oakbrook Properties envisions this parcel as a perfect place for community amenities such as restaurants, banks, and other local services for this growing area.
The Lakes of Magnolia Commercial Development was successfully sold by Oakbrook Properties in 2016.
Adjoining the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, one of the largest medical centers in the world, and located at the south side of Hermann Park, a 445-acre public park containing the Houston Zoo, the Texas Medical Center Redevelopment was a multi-block urban renewal development. Oakbrook Properties acquired and developed this land with an eye towards the needs of the area. Highlights include a new townhome community built by Oakbrook Properties called The Oaks of Caroline, multiple apartment and condo mid-rises, and the new home of the Houston Children’s Museum. A number of historic apartment building renovations were also undertaken.
The Medical Center Redevelopment was successfully completed in 2005.
Located at Houston Hobby Airport, seven miles from downtown Houston, Owner’s Jet FBO was built to provide the best in luxury for private planes. Oakbrook Properties purchased the land and developed and built this private airport terminal including hangars, fuel farm, crew rooms, and passenger amenities.
The Owner’s Jet FBO was completed and sold in 1997.
